This TMA covers chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. It consists of four questions. Please solve all questions. You should give the details of your solutions and not just the final results. You must submit your Matlab code well commented as .m Matlab files. Also you must submit all figures and relevant plots as part of your work as a single file.

Question 1: [12marks]
a) Create an array for x from 0 to 2π with 1000 elements and graphthe following equation:
y = |Sin(xx)/2(xx-pi/2)/pi|

Include a title, gridand axes labels.


Question 2:[10marks]
Write a program to compare the average of students scores in M106 and M109 AOU modules.
The code should be organised as follows:

a) Write a getScoreList()functionthat prompts the user to enter the scores list for one module and return it. (1 mark)


b) Write a getAvg()functionthat finds and returns the average of the scores list. (1 mark)

c) Write a goCompare()functionthataccepts the average of the first module and the second module and returns a string saying which module has the best students achievement or the two modules have the same students performance. (Do NOT use loops) (3 marks)


d) Write a main script to do the following: (5 marks)

• Make two calls togetScoreList()function to get the score list from the user for M106 and M109.
• Make two calls togetAvg()function to find the average for both modules.
• CallgoCompare()function to returna proper string about the comparison result.
• Print the returned string.



Question 3:[8 marks]
Given a 2D matrix Stock that stores the stock price for the previous day (previous closing price) in the first column and the stock current price in the second column. Compute the change in price and store it in a third column. Create a new 2D matrices F and R to contain the data of falling and rising stocks respectively. (Do NOT use loops)

Question 4:[10marks]
Write a program using nested loops to compute sin(x) for given x. The user should supply x and a positive integer n. The program computes the sine of x using the series and the computation should use all terms in the series up through the term involving xn.
Sin(x) = x - x3/3! + x5/5! - x7/7! + x9/9! .......
(Do not call any built-in function)
